Essence Lights of Orient Bronzers | Review + Swatches

I am here with the second part of my Essence Lights of Orient reviews, and today I will focus on the bronzers. I have boths shades, so I will show you a lot of photos and swatches.

Originally, I wanted to include these bronzing powders in my first review, but I happened to take way too many photos for one single post.

The embossment on the Lights of Orient bronzers is just as gorgeous as it is on the blush. The collector is really strong in me when I stumble across such beautiful makeup items with a unique pattern on them, so I decided to get both shades, even though I was limited to 4 items from the entire collection. Did not regret this decision.

There are two shades in the collection, both of them are neutral toned bronzers - not too orange, which is good. If you want to pick just one of them, go with the darker one. The lighter shade called Sunkissed Beauty is really light, even on my skin.  Don't get me wrong, the lighter one is still beautiful and faint on the skin, giving a natural look to the face. I just feel like that you can get more use out of the darker one, because it is buildable and even though it's not grey toned, you can do contouring with it too. The light shade is more for warming up the skin.

If you have very pale skin and you'd only use the product for a little colour, then go with the light bronzing powder.

Honestly, if you can afford them and you're a collector, why not buy both. They are unique, and bronzer can be used in many ways.

Another feature worth mentioning is that the Sunkissed Beauty is very similar to the NYC Sunny bronzer, I know a lot of you own that one. The Essence bronzer is a little less orange than Sunny.

The powder texture is very smooth and finelly milled, you will need to use a synthetic brush with it so it doesn't scratch the surface. The angled brush that comes in the collection is there for a reason.

They both blend out very nicely and are buildable in coverage, making it useful for beginners and hardcore makeup fans as well.

The bronzing part is matte, while the light beige dot in the middle is shimmery. Basically you get a tiny highlighter as well. I use them separately, but you can mix them together to give a subtle shine to the face. The highlighters look almost identical, so I only swatched one of them. They show up pretty well on light skin as well.

I already uploaded a review of the eyeshadow palette and the blush, you can read it here.

Do you like makeup items with a unique pattern on them?

I purchased the products myself.

  1. Nézegettem őket, de végül nem ezeket választottam a trendkiadásból: http://voroskoromlakk.blogspot.hu/2016/05/new-in-essence-lights-of-orient.html
